At long last the electric cigarette has a real possibility of competing with tobacco companies. The e cigarette offers a much better way for smokers to get the nicotine that they want without having to burn the deadly tobacco that they have been sold for years. Only this new product can offer a smoker an alternative to tobacco, but will still allow them to enjoy the habit that tobacco smoking caused them to develop. It has already been proven that tobacco companies knew for years how deadly it was to smoke tobacco, yet the companies and even the government itself allowed them to continue to grow, manufacture and sell cancer sticks because it was such a huge industry.
Finally proper warnings were mandated to be put on the cigarette packages, but this was long after minors had already been allowed to purchase tobacco products over the counter with no identification what so ever and millions had already became addicted and disease ridden or died because no one was warned sooner about the danger they placed themselves by smoking. In the meantime, the growers, manufacturers and cigarette sellers made fortunes off the health of those who were hopelessly addicted to their product.
Now that the electronic cigarette has been developed to help people deal with the nicotine addictions they have, but in what many researchers believe is a much safer way, there are a lot of negative things being said about it. Even the FDA and other organizations that are supposed to be so against smoking tobacco, but have failed miserably to manage to have tobacco cigarettes banned and outlawed have protested against the e cigarette. Yet they can not or will not give clear and concise reasons why they are so opposed to a product that could allow addicted smokers to continue their habit, but have much less potential risk to be harmed by it.
You would think that the FDA would be all for a product that could help people deal with their nicotine addiction in a safer way and if there is more testing needed and perhaps a little further development to ensure its complete safety, why are they not doing it? If they have no intentions of outlawing tobacco knowing full well that is it deadly without a shadow of doubt, why will they not approve a product that simply has to be less harmful if only because it has no toxic smoke, no tar, and none of the same deadly chemicals that are in tobacco? What are they waiting for, more people to die because they have found no real cure for nicotine and the smoking addiction that goes with it? If there is even the remote possibility that lives could be saved by approving the electric cigarette that offers smokers an alternative to tobacco smoking, most people with any common sense at all would say it is the obligation of the FDA to do it and do it now until they themselves can offer something better or areal cure.
